VantaChatWhat VantaChat provides
VantaChat provides one-to-one and group chats in the web app, with photos, files, voice messages and video messages. The service does not offer voice or video calls and is not a cryptocurrency wallet. Recovery words let you recover your account and encrypted history.
The service is provided by the VantaChat project, based in the United States. Questions can be sent to support@vantachat.org.
Protecting your account
Keep your password, recovery words and signed-in devices secure. Do not give anyone your account recovery credentials. If a device is lost or someone else may have control of your account, reset your password as soon as possible using your existing password or recovery words. Other devices will be signed out after the reset.
Your registered ID is fixed; you can change your display name. Do not impersonate others or use names, avatars or profile information you have no right to use.
Rules for using the service
Do not use the service for fraud, harassment, threats, distributing malware or posting or transmitting illegal content. Do not infringe others’ copyright, privacy or other rights.
Do not try to obtain other people’s passwords, recovery words or session credentials. Do not bypass access controls, create accounts in bulk, send unsolicited messages in bulk or disrupt the service. Encryption protects content in transit; it does not remove your responsibility for your actions.
Content you share
You are responsible for the content you upload and send, and should make sure you have the right to share it. Sending content through the service does not transfer ownership of that content to VantaChat.
Consider who will receive content before you send it. Other participants can save it, take screenshots or forward it. Deleting or withdrawing content cannot guarantee that copies held by recipients disappear.
Service availability and security limits
The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, network failures or outages in third-party infrastructure. Keep your own copies of important information; do not use chat history as your only backup.
End-to-end encryption protects new message bodies and chat attachments. The privacy policy explains how data such as avatars, group information and friend request greetings is handled. Trusted devices, secure storage of recovery words and the integrity of the web app’s code also affect security.
Reports, restrictions and leaving the service
The chat app lets you submit reports. Give an accurate reason; successful submission does not mean a human has already handled the report. We make no commitment to a response time for reports or feedback.
The service applies technical restrictions to unusual requests and abusive behavior. For questions about account restrictions, account closure or data deletion, contact support@vantachat.org. Closing the page or signing out does not close your account.
Applicable rules
Comply with applicable law when using the service. These terms do not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded. If a dispute arises in connection with the service, you can first contact us at support@vantachat.org and explain the situation.
